The opening of a live account of IC Markets follows the same clear pattern as the opening of the demo account, the only difference is that you must continue with the online verification of your identity document and proof of address documents to fully operate the Live trading account.

How to Verify / Activate trading accounts with IC Markets

To activate your business account with IC Markets you need to verify your identity, a minimum of 100 points is required.

Please ansure that you have one form of Photo ID in addition to a document verifying your Proof of Residence ready for upload. This process is virtually completed through a secure document loading function.

All photo ID documents must be valid and clearly show your full name, date of birth and issue / expiry date. Student ID cards are not accepted.

Proof of residence

  • Utility Bill
  • Bank Statement
  • Phone/Internet Bill

All Proof of Residence documentes must clearly state your name, current residential address and issue date. Documents mus not be older than 3 months.

If you are unable to provide a Secondary ID document that verifies your Proof of Residece you can provide an additional form of Photo ID from the list above.

Please ensure that:

  1. Photo ID is clear and visible.
  2. ID is issued by a Government Agency
  3. Your Name, Date of Birth and Expiry / Issue Date are clearly shown.
  4. The file type needs to be .pdf .gif .png .doc .docx or .jpg with max file size of 12 MB.
